Reflections of the Civil War

The 2nd full weekend in July will see Union troops, Confederate troops, sutlers, civillians, and battles spread across the beautiful Seminole Valley.  Don't miss out on this special event. It will be a wonderful time to take a step back in history and experience one of the most tragic events in American history. Come visit us and see history in action.

 Saturday July 13, 1862

  9.30  Write a letter to a solder (Visitors Center)

10:00  Battalion Drill ( on Battle Field )

10:00  Artillery Demo ( on Battle Field )

11:00  Ladies Tea  and Fashion Show ( Museum Building )

  2:15  Mail Call for Troops

  2:30  Letters from Home ( Museum Building )

  2:40  Opening Ceremony ( Honoring all Veterans )

  2:45  Cavalry Demonstration ( on Battle Field )

  3:00  Battle of Seminole Valley ( on Battle Field )

  3:30  Field Hospital Demo ( after the Battle )

  4:00  Camp Closes to Public

  8:00- 10:00 Dance ( Museum Building )

Be sure and visit with the sutlers, soldiers, and living history civilians. Watch for other events going on through out the day. Ladies reading letters from their loved ones in the war, recruiting of the public and drill practice, games for the kids, and much more.
