Seminole Valley Farm Museum is a 1900 farm site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We are a non-profit organization ran completely by volunteers. Normal open hours are Sunday, 1 to 4, May through September (except Holidays). The Museum is a restored farm site to show what early farm life was like in Iowa.

Due to the June flood of 2008, the museum is currently closed to the public for repairs. However, we will continue to host our 3 annual outdoor events while we rebuild. Please visit us at these events and help support the museum in its efforts to re-open soon. For information on any of our events, please click on "Upcoming Events" and choose the event you are interested in.

Steam and Gas Engine Show
As April comes to a close we are getting ready for the Steam and Gas Engine show coming up on May 18th and 19th. Up to now the weather has not been the best for us this spring but hopes are that it will warm up and dry out long before the end of May. We will have the full size Sawmill in acton powered by a full size Steam Engine as well a a Threshing Macine in action. Our Flea Market is growing but we still have room for more so if you are interested, contact us. As always there will be Hay Rack rides, Demonstrations, Chain Saw Carving, learn to drive a Tractor, Great Food, and much, much more. There is always something for the whole family to enjoy. Plan on coming out and having some fun with us. Hope to see you there.

2013
Another year has come and gone and we are starting on the next one. We hope to see some major rebuilding this year. And we will be having our 3 main events as always. Steam and Gas Engine Show is May 18th and 19th. Reflections of the Civil War is July 13th and 14th. And Rendezvous is October 5th and 6th. Last year was a great year and we Thank all those that helped us make our events so wonderful. And Thanks to the public who have come out and supported us. And lets not forget our sponsers who have supported us through the years. We are working on adding new things to all the events so everyone will have to check and see what we get done. One thing is sure. Not only can you learn something, you will have fun doing it.
